Our Story
Harvest Bark was founded on the simple belief that dogs deserve real food, crafted with the same quality and care we expect for ourselves.
In July of 2024, I found Lita at a shelter in Myrtle Beach.
She was just 35 lbs and clearly underweight.
Like most new dog owners, I went searching for the best nutrition possible, something clean, honest, and truly restorative.
What I found instead was confusing labels, vague claims, and ingredients I couldn’t trust. For a dog like Lita, “good enough” just wasn’t good enough.
With a background in culinary and a respect for real ingredients, I started making her food from scratch using the same standards I would hold for my own family.
That kitchen became Harvest Bark.
No fillers. No mystery meats. No compromises.
Just honest, fresh meals made with real chicken, turkey, or beef, vegetables, and thoughtfully added nutrients.
Since switching to fresh feeding, Lita has gained 20 lbs, her energy has completely transformed, and she’s become the joyful, playful dog she was always meant to be.

We’ve been on the hunt for a healthier dry food for our dog Pretzel, who has a very sensitive stomach. Most dry foods are packed with a long list of ingredients, and we wanted something simpler and easier on her digestion. We’re so glad we found Harvest Bark! Their food has only five or six all-natural ingredients, and Pretzel has been doing great on it. It’s a huge relief to find something that’s both clean and gentle on her stomach!!
